KR Puram Petrol Pump (Tin Factory)
Did any of u have this especially professional cheating by the staff of KR Puram Tin Factory Petrol pump?
Yesterday, I rode into this pump, in my bike, asked to put Rs.200.00 petrol. The guy coolly started on Rs.200 setting, suddenly the cashier started asking money. I took out Rs.500 from my pocket, gave it to him. He started giving the balance Rs.100 at a time. Then to divert my attention, he started shouting "i mint card hai kya?". I tried to ignore him, but he keeps asking the same question again. in this melee, the guy who puts the petrol suddenly stopped the machine.
After coming out of the pump, I realise, he put only Rs.100/- worth of petrol!
What a way to cheat gullible motorists!
No doubt Bangalore is one the most infamous place for cheats !

Recipe for Idli Fries
Idli surprise:
When your children are bored with the usual Idli, you can try this special one.
Cut your idlis into 3/4 pcs. Shallow/deep fry in oil. Use tissue papers to remove oil and sprinkle chilly powder/salt/chaat masala.
heat hot hot with sauce!

NATIONAL DO KEEP CALLING REGISTRY!
Hi all Indians who suffer from unsolicited SMS & promo calls by Telecom cos.!!!!!!!!
I am also a victim, having already regd. for NDC service with Airtel, but keep getting daily STUPID SMS & calls from telemarketers who, in all their zest call, any time of the day!
I presume all Telcos sell their database to these marketers & make huge money, so any amount of complaints is not helping.
MAybe any of my blogger friends have a solution!

Chuttaracha Chammanthi
HAve you ever had the good fortune to taste the Original Chuttaracha Chammanthi?
I cannot forget my Amma's or Anitha Chy's recipe. As we donot have the traditional woodfire, we manage with the gas burner!
Here's the recipe!
Just cut out thin crescent shaped coconut pieces, burn them slightly in a low flame,
Add Chilli powder, tamarind pieces, 1-2 shallots (kunjulli), bit of ginger, fresh curry leaves, salt and grind in mixer.
Lo & behold, the dark brown chutney is ready, best eaten with rice & curds!
Do try out!

Ramayana Maasa
Yesterday, 16th July is the start of KARKITAKA MAASA for all Malayalis.
We read Ramayana everyday to finish in one month. As I started doing it around 10 years ago, it has been enjpyed more and more.
We see the story of Rama, as it develops, like a Drama seen from a Balcony. Easily one can corelate to the dilemas, sorrows & struggles they pass through!
A great, humbling experience, I must say!
